XJ8 X350 Thermostat Housing.
Hi, I recently had a weep from the thermostat housing. My local garage said they could do it if I supplied the part.
Getting it was no problem but I was a bit surprised to be charged £ 350.00 labour to fit it.
What do you guys think, manual says 1 to 1.5 hours to replace. TIA, Peter.

You have to:
- empty the cooling circuit
-replace the thermostat housing (I would also replace the thermostat itself at the same time)
-refill the cooling circuit with a mix of new cooling fluid and demin water and bleed it
I think that an hour is optimistic and that 1.5 to 2 hours is more realistic. Do the 350.00 also include new cooling fluid, well, or would that be extra?
Best regards,
Thomas
