ZF Trany querry
Hello all, I will be servicing my 2004 XJ VDP ZF shortly.
Lots of discussion on replacing the electrical connector sleeve to prevent future leaking.
Has anyone had success by just renewing the O rings?
It is not the cost of the part but its availability in my area, no Jag dealer locally and the online sites I have checked are OOS.
I am also interested in anyone who may have long term experience with Castrol Multi-Import Vehicle ATF? Last post I saw was a few years old.

Hello Holt,
I would hold off until March 2nd if possible and oreder through here: The CTSC - ZF Parts I have read just recently that there is another company offering a kit as well in California, sorry I cannot remember the place, a search here may help.
Alot of members have purchased this kit and you will have to order the Oring Sleeve seperately.
I have the Castrol Multi in our '05 S Type, a mix of original LifeGuard6 and 7 1/2 US quarts. My wife has put about 15,000 miles on the vehicle with no problems what so ever. At the time I did our sleeve, Lifeguard6 was about $65.00 a litre.
With the cost of the LifeGuard6 coming down to $18.00 to $15.00 dollars a litre I would go that way. The "new" LifeGuard6 fluid supposedly has an additive in specially designed for the ZF gearbox squawk.
