95 XJR had a "frozen" t.cable/traction control actuator. Insulation had disintegrated at point of entering actuator motor, may have shorted out. I took apart, got everything free but in lifting off one gear a long spring unwound. Similar to a spring on a chain saw, lawn mower etc., but with an odd reversed wound piece attached at the end that somehow locked into the gear. I have spent a couple hours trying to rewind and finally admitted defeat. Dropped off at a local shop, have not heard back yet. Has anyone had one of these units apart? Any interchange with other models? I appreciate any insight.
