1995 XJR6 supercharger bypass actuator
Hi,
I am new to this forum, and I am sorry for my English, my mother language is German, so I try my very best....
My 1995 XJR6 doesn't seem to be building up any compressor pressure. The compressor is absolutely inaudible and the torque feels like that of a naturally aspirated engine.
I suspect that the vacuum servo with the part number NBD7703AB, which controls the compressor bypass, has a broken membrane, which is likely to happen after 30 years. However, the part is no longer available anywhere.
I have seen, however, that there are similar parts for Eaton compressors in the USA, for use in Ford or Cadillac models, where the Eaton M90 has apparently also been retrofitted in some cases.
I can see from pictures, however, that the suspension and the length of the alternative actuators will not fit the XJR6, and that I might have to modify it. Assuming the vacuum control works the same...
Has anyone with an XJR6 already found a solution?
Regards, dieselflo
