I'm seriously considering purchasing a 1996 with 52,000 miles. I know very little about Jaguars, though the car is exceptionally clean. I plan on a pre-purchase inspection at a local dealer. The cup holder is inoperative; the rear view mirrow does not "dim" headlight and it has a small blemish on the rear bumper. Otherwise everything works. Any advice?

 

You're lucky to find one with that low of mileage!

The straight six engines are great. Far fewer problems than the V8's. They only offered that engine one more year (1997).

If it checks out clean, get it!
