I am tired of the loud beeping noise that goes off after I lock or unlock the car with the remote! Anyone know how I can get rid of the noise?

It may be a set-up option in IDS/WDS. I don't know..that's just a guess - If it can be canceled, it would be through the dealer-software. Maybe Bob or another experienced tech will happen along presently and tell you whether or not it can be done.

I'd like to know how to disable the alarm system as well.

Here you go! Dig down in the right front corner (LHD) near the windscreen washer bottle and find this little round noise-maker and unplug him as shown. You may want to bag-it-n-tag-it to keep moisture out. I kinda like the little chirps myself but it sounded like that was where the noise came from so I unplugged it and did a lock/unlock sequence to check. You can still hear some relays click in that area as well as the doors locking and unlocking, but otherwise silent. I am not yet in a configuration to crank it up and do a start - no notion of whether it affects other security system functions or not.

I unplugged mine for the same reason.

However I believe it's the same unit that sounds when the alarm is triggered, If so it means you won't be aware if someone tries to break in.
