Default 1997 jaguar xj6 vacuum hose

Could a ripped breather hose off the valve cover cause a p0411 code? It's about a 1.5 inch gap. It gives me a insuffient flow below threshold on bank 2. Thanks

Not sure of a code, BUT, any "unmetered air" is sensed as that and would throw a code of some sort.

It would also give very erratic idle, as the ICV would certainly have issues attempting to close down sufficiently enough to compensate for that air gap.

Also I was getting a p0430 code after a week of the light being on. If that nnarrows the problems down. Thanks for the diagnosis chart

Hello
Well, here is another JPEG, this one is for P0430 DTC Fault Code:

Since Cylinder bank A is right-hand cylinder bank (US passenger side) viewed from flywheel end, then Cylinder bank B must be left-hand cylinder bank (US driver side) viewed from flywheel end.
