1997 XJ VDP VIN From 720125 Throttle mounted part / Why I hear Air?
I have a question to clear up this issue or non-issue:
My cat is stalling during braking/red lights is due to an vac/air leak.
During checking all the air lines for visual damages, when i squeeze the cruise control valve i hear air escaping in the LH bay area.
Should I Hear anything? (Plus the bolts were loose, so i tightened them.
Thanks for any input in advance!

The picture you have is the vacuum operated throttle actuator. The hose goes to a pump/motor controller in the left front area. It needs to be open to atmosphere when it is NOT pulling the throttle during 'cruise-control' or automatic speed control.

Ok, i took some photos of mine, and do understand mine is missing some components, the original picture i posted was from the internet, the images below are of mine, with missing spring and connector for the cruise control rubber valve:
I feel i have an air / vacuum line leak based on stalling when letting off of the gas, fuel issue, long crank when it did start, now its not running. Maybe i need to start a new thread. I did find corroded connection harnesses under the back seat, plus i am waiting for new plugs to arrive, but this thing has been in the hands of someone who did not take care of it before i purchased.
