Default 1997 XJ6 Headliner

Can anyone out there explain how to install a complete new headliner. I understand the board has to be recovered, but how do you rmove and install the board.

Thank You
John

Personally I think the dropped headlining fault is a disgrace for a premium marque. After owning many many cars over the years, this has never happened to any of them. Because it is so common, it must be defined as a manufacturing defect and should be fixed by Jaguar for free!

Default X300 Headliner

Hi Biffta! Appreciate your response. I do agree with you about the headliner, it's a ridiculous quality control oversight. However, I think the 95-97 XJ6 is the best value for money on the road for a used car. The overall quality of engineering, fit and finish is outstanding, as is the retro design. I think Ford did an excellent job, and I'm sorry Ford had to sell. I have owned 7 Jaguars over the years. My favorites being a 64 3.8 MKII and a 67 E-Type Coupe. But as a 4 dr saloon, the X300 to me is just superb!

John.

Thumbs down

Thanks for the support John!
As for the headlining 'issue', I'd be interested to know what the record period was for the headlining problem first appearing from new.
Someone somewhere should have sued.
