3.2 P1621 error and also incoerrect temp showing HELP!!!
Hi new here,
Sorry for the long thread.
My car is a 1998 XJ3.2 straight six one of the last X300. It was sometimes reving high 1500-2000rpm but if I taped the throttle pedal the revs droped to 900rpm. also the pedal travel was not smooth, it was very stiff then suddenly goes.
I have now cleaned the throttle body butand it is now running ok on the revs but the temp is staying cold, well goes up and down as you drive along. I have already replaced the thermostat as I read this is what caused the Throttle body to become clogged in the first place.
Had it put on a scanner It is showing error P1621, he coudn't tell me any more as he was using a snapon OBD scanner, any one any ideas before I spend more on someone with a jag scanner.
It is coming up for an MOT and the emissions were high when I had it serviced is this due to the temp issue as the throttle body was running wrong?
Is the P1621 error even related to my issue?
