Default 3.2 x300 dirty air intake

I have an euro spec x300 3.2 sport which is without the EGR so why is my air intake hose dirty? When cleaning the MAF sensor I noticed that the pipes and intake air temp sensor were pretty sooty. I have wynns EGR extreme cleaner spray should I use it to spray the pipes and IAT sensor?

Do not remove the sensor on the bottom of the throttle body ( TPS )

The bolts on the upper valve ( IAC ) can break off on removal so leave that one attached also

Try not to get solvent in the IAC valve to keep the step motor dry migrating inside through the seal

Same can be said to keep the TPS seal area dry , easier said then done , maybe wipe with a solvent rag the TB and not just spray all around

There is no seal between the throttle body and the intake manifold

The air / oil separator with the breather air on the original design is of poor performance

You will notice the breather air hose on the top of the valve cover and the separator is inside the valve cover , Im not saying you need to remove the valve cover or the intake manifold

What you want to acheive is the free movement to the close stop position

Do not adjust the close stop screw

Ok, so I will not be removing anything. Should I spray some EGR cleaner in the air intake with the engine running to clean up the pipes, IAT sensor and valves?

The IAT sensor can be cleaned with a small solvent soaked brush or just pull it off

Usually you remove the throttle body with the TPS and IAC still attached as you clean the TB

There is the caution of getting solvent on the MAF with any spray

There are 2 engine coolant lines on the TB and you can drain the coolant by a drain valve under the right side of the radiator
