I have a 97 Jag with 134k miles Vanden Plas xj6. It has 3 bad ignition coils. I was quoted $439 each coil for OEM and $376 for aftermarket made in Britain. Should I get OEM parts or should I search online for an aftermarket part for cheaper?

Best bet is the made-in-Japan, true OEM coils from Diamond Mfg. SNG Barratt and Japthug can get them (as you'll see in the thread)
Be wary of vendors who throw the term "OEM" around *****-nilly. Very few are selling actual OEM

And for the love of Gawd, install those coils yourself. If you're able to fill your tank with gas, you're able to change those coils yourself. Easier than making a good cup of coffee.
Agree totally on Japan made coils. I got two chinese coils from my parts buddy cause they were cheap. I'm glad I got two since one had failed rather quickly.
