hi guys,

my door won't open and it has to open from outside. so every time i end up rolling down the windows and reach outside to open the door. can anyone tell me what part i need to replace? thanks a lot!

 

Usually it is the cable that goes from the inner door handle to the latch mechanism. The cable or the end breaks. Have to take the inner door apart to replace, but thats not to hard.

I may have a good used one from my 96 VDP that may fit. Couple of hundred bucks from the dealer. PM me if interested.

 

Presumably this is a front door, and not just a rear door with the child lock on?

Sound advice above, whip off the trim panel and check that the cable has not just become disconnected.

 

My cable broke I found one on ebay for $60 but in order to get just the cable and not have to purchase the entire system you will need to look around on the net. start on EBAY
