hello, own a 96 XJ6, and when I am driving and hit a bump I hear a slight "chain type" noise, it sounds like its coming from the driver side rear, is that possible a wheel bearing? If not does anyone know, or have any ideas?

 

I probobly have that same noise in my wifes VDPsince we got it in 01, and after listening ears, welding the cat shields, new shocks, lubing everything, radiator and condensor bushings,......I gave up.. its her car, just turn up the radio louder

 

I wouldnt start to worry until you start to hear a subtle constant grinding. Just keep the rear wheel bearings lubed up and you'll be alright.
