Default 97 jaguar xj6 swb

i need help!!!!!!!!!! i have a 97 jaguar xj6 and someone stole my ecm from the car.i need to know how i can find out which replacement i need and how to get those #s without the old unit.my car is a swb man date 9/96

stole the ecm???? The one in the right kickpanel???

That ecm on a 1997 car would probably have had security head bolts too, so it's impossible to steal it without either a grinder or a dremmel. That said, cutting through all the ignition harness would save some time. See your local dealer for the number. You will need the car's VIN number too.
You could also try looking on Jaguar Classic Parts website under xj models corresponding to your VIN, then Engine Management System.

ECM you need will have the number LNB1410AC, or superseded suffixes AD or AE will also work. These are for the short wheelbase cars.
