97 Xj6 stalling at a stop when car driven >20 mins
Hey everyone just wondering where you think I should start?
my 97 xj6 seems to stall out a lot, more and more frequently I fear its getting worse. It seems that once shes warmed up after a 20 min drive or so she dosnt stall but it happens when im slowing to a stop. I can usually keep it from stalling if i throw it in Neutral as I see the rpms start to drop
anyone have an idea what might cause this? where to start checking?
Thanks a lot!

Make sure the plugs are the correct type: Champion RC9YCC (or RC12YCC - some say RC9YCC and some say RC12YCC. my Jaguar dealer recently replaced mine, and they used RC9YCC so I dunno...), and that they are in good condition, clean and gapped to 0.035 inch.
My dads X300 had a chronic stalling problem, and it turned out to be nothing more than the plugs. It was just like that too; stalling when trying to idle at lights etc.

Hi from New Zealand, this might help.
I have owned an X300 1 month, when I collected the beauty she cut out at lights/ in traffic and it appears that it was the crank angle unit, the dealer took the car to a local specialist and it was returned the next day...no trouble since!
Hope this helps
