Default AC Circulation question...

hi everyone, my 96 XJ6 blows Cold air, but the circulation dosent seem as strong as in the newer cars. My Mom has a 2004 Nissan ALTIMA and her AC Blows very good. Putting her AC On Medium Speed is like having my Jaguar AC on High Speed. Is this normal on the x300's? I have a new condenser as well as hoses, and like I said the AC Blows cold, but just dosent seem to be circulating like the newer type of cars do. Anyone can help please... thanks...

The airflow on mine isn't all that strong, IMHO. Either it's normal or both of our cars have the same fault :-)

Cheers

My '97 blows quite a bit of air, easily enough to cool the car even on the hottest days. Might check to see that both blowers are running, air intakes aren't blocked, etc. If you select defrost does it seem any better? Ususally the defrost mode over rides everything else and gives you full heat and max fan speed.

My car makes the cabin as cold as ice in good time even on those hateful hot Florida days. What do you have your AC set at? Are you using the auto function? If you set the AC to the "Lo" setting and crank the fan all they way up, it's still not blowing hard enough (innuendos aside)?

These cars have two blowers. The volume of air is sufficient, but the dual fans help to reduce the air tubulance noise. It was an engineering design to help keep cabin noise down. Mine is the loudest on defrost on high. Other than that with the radio slightly up you can bearly hear it. Also, the fan level is speed sensitive.
