AC system issue, no hot air coming out of the vents
Hi all, yes I’m back with yet another issue with this x300 and slowly loosing my cool with the car. Now a two new faults. First one is both front fog lights have failed. The bulbs are good and the fuse is good and there is voltage going to the fuse. So I’m guessing that means a relay. But which one is the fog light relay?
now the very annoying issue. With the AC system off I have lovely hot air coming out of what ever vent I select but if I turn on the AC system the hot air will cool a to a slightly warm temperature but if I select auto the air becomes ice cool no matter what temperature I set. I interior air temp on my thermometer was reading 10°C and if I select 30°C on auto it just pumps out ice cold air but if I turn the AC off I will then get red hot air, any thoughts on what else I need to spend money on 😭😭
all so the faster I have the fan speed when the AC is on ( not auto) the cooler the air will become
please help me before I have to say good bye to the amazing car
This is the page from the hand book telling relay position, but sadly not the number.
Found better picture with exact location!
There is also attached a pdf explaining how to test the AC
Hope these help.

correct me if i am wrong but AC off = heater.
AC on = AIR CONDITIONING.
Airconditioning even on max will never be as hot as a heater.
if you want hot air:
turn climate unit on
turn AC off
turn temp up full
DONE heater on full blast
if you press the A/C button you are turning off the heater and turning on the AC which will reduce the temp of the unit.
so that is all functioning correctly.
the AC tho when set to auto not sure what could be the issue.
most likely thought to me is the cabin temp sensor.
which is located in the drivers footwell area on the underdash trim.
it is highly possible this is broken giving the wrong reading to the unit. so the C thinks it is much hotter than it actually is in the car.
