Question Adjust windshield washer nozzle spray height?

So I searched all the other 'washer' threads and didn't see this posted anywhere. But I was wondering if the winshield washer nozzles can be adjusted?

My LH drivers side nozzles pretty consistently shoot water up onto the roof while getting some water on the windscreen, where the RH hits the windshield squarely in the top 2/3 of the windscreen. At speed the issue is reduced but I feel like it is spraying just a bit too high.

The nozzles are clicked into the paravane. the paravane is hold by 4 screws and one star bolt. I dont believe you can adjust these nozzles, but maybe you can try if one of them is lose. Maybe one of the nozzles is not clicked right into the plastic which means it has a higher angle of spray. In winter these nozzles can be frozen and crack up.

Just remove the paravane and have a look at them if it can be fixed, else replace.

get a pin or needle and push it in the small metal nozzles, then lever to adjust. they might be a bit stuck after 20 yrs or so. Go gently as the black plastic breaks easily after 2 decades of life in the weather

Thanks, you are absolutely correct.

I have some small dental tools, and the "depth gauge" tool works perfectly to fit into the metal nozzle and GENTLY move the nozzle around to adjust the spray.

The metal part is a ball joint and moves all around to adjust vertically & horizontally. As mentioned, it will be tough and likely stuck after 20 years, but I put a little oil on the nozzle a while before trying and once broken (in the good sense) loose they will move around pretty easily.

The only downside is that even the tiniest adjustment is a huge adjustment in spray target... so it takes some patience to get it right.

But they indeed are adjustable

Lightbulb Answer is in the manual

Ha, so as usual.... I should have just read "the manual"

I ran across this while looking for something else.
