Hi all, on my 1997 x300 I have what seems to be part of the air con system that goes nowhere! It consists of a rubber hose on the drivers side of the engine compartment (right hand drive) with a beer can sized aluminium "device" on it, which has a black dial/knob attached. The black hose continues on to a fitting, not unlike a standard half inch plumbing connector, which isn't connected to anything. I cant find anything within reach that it could hook up to and assume that whatever should be there to receive this hose, isn't! Not driving the car yet, so not sure if the air con is actually working, although it does blow pretty cold air when selected. I'm new to air con so not sure what to expect in this regard. Any thoughts on my mystery hose? Thanks.
