I've now put 675 miles on my '97 XJ6 since the bracket installation. Of these miles only 60 were highway miles. I have averaged 20.3 MPG across those miles using 93 octane fuel. This represents a 2.3 MPG gain over my previous average indicating that the engine is operating more efficiently. A 13% boost in gas mileage was most welcome. The engine is more eager and idles smoother. No codes have appeared, no negative consequences noted. In all, only good has come of this simple modification.

 

That's quite impressive. Wish the "Andy Bracket" was available for the V8.
