I really need a good diagnostic tool ... came across the Autel Maxidas DS708 during my research.

It will scan all modules (for example, even the a/c module) in the vehicle, clear codes, and so on.

Is there anything else out there, comparable, for the same price-point?
(~US$1200).

 

I'm intrested in purchasing the maxidas scanner at autel ds708 could you tell me if it can carry out dpf regenerations and what year was the item manufacture

 

just got one at my garage... Need to find the time to play around with it. I haven't heard of it until my buddy hooked it up to his M5 this morning. Curious to see what all it can do...

 

Autel MaxiDAS DS708 Diagnostic Tool may be the most capable and versatile diagnostic and repair tool I've ever seen available for purchase by the average DIY guy. It can even program key fobs. I know it's expensive (about $1,000) but it may be well worth the money if you're in it for the long haul with Jaguars, Range Rovers, Mercedes, Audis, and other not-so-owner-friendly vehicles.

 

I agree.Searched on Google for Autel MaxiDAS DS708,and found this one for $923(including free shipping via DHL),it seems to be a good price.

 

Sure wish someone near me would buy one .....kinda like a boat!
