I have a a silver car with standard silver rims. The wheels need a refurb and I’m not sure whether to keep them silver, or maybe change things up a bit and go for something like an anthracite grey. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Will you paint, powdercoat, or something else? The wheels are diamond-turned, which gives a little rainbow of colour when looked at the right way...you'll lose that.
Incidentally, I tried stripping the factory-applied clear coat from mine and could not get it all off. Maybe heat would work. I'm thinking about blasting them (with crushed glass, I think) then powder coating with the Polished Chrome shown in the link.

Very good point, thank you! I'm thinking powder coat for resilience, they were originally diamond cut I believe, but too much scope for corrosion (at least for me). I've spoke with a local wheel refurb company with great reviews and they were saying that 'nickel silver' (to your point about different silvers) is an official Jaguar wheel colour that could work really well. Also, it'll be just slightly different to the silver of the car's body. Looks like a way forward.
Nickel silver is nice, a bit warmer than plain. I'd love to know how they prep the wheels prior to powder coating, ie whether to just put it on or remove the grooves first. Please show photos if/when you have it done!
