Default Asteroids

I liberated a set of Asteroids from the local dismantler Jaguar Beacham (google their series III E-types), got'em in the trunk and seat - it was like having 3 passengers. I was all excited til I got'em to the wheel guy - 2 aren't round so they have to go back... Sad

Out of round is not unusual. Are there wheel repair specialists in NZ?

You may not like riding on 18" wheels anyways as they require relatively low profiles to maintain the rolling diameter. That makes them harsher and more subject to tramlining.

i know low profile are harsher. I love the soft flat ride of the Daimler on 225/60 R16s.
But I love the look of Asteroids. 2 of them are reparable with minor dents on inner edge, 2 completely out of round and wheel guy Stevo says not fixable.
I am tempted to keep the 2 that are a goer, and build up a set of 4 over time. They are hard to come by in NZ
