What size batteries does the keyless remote use on the 97 xj6. I lost the cover and the batteries fell out. And I couldn't match them at radio shack because I didn't have an old one. Which ones do they take?

 

The remote takes two CR2016 (or DL2016) 3 volt lithium batteries. They are quite thin. Also quite expensive, unless you have a Harbor Freight store around. Go there if you can. Bummer to lose the cover, you could make do with some black tape cut to size.
