Default best Brakes for a X300 jag?

Hi there,I am going to need brake pads soon, so can anyone tell me whats the best with no brake dust and the longest lasting ones and a good price? I know Brembo is one of the best, is there anything else?

I've been very happy with Akebono ceramics on my X300. No dust at all, strong stopping power, seem to be long lasting. I got mine from Rock Auto. My only complaint is the pedal feels a bit soft with them but that is soon forgotten.

On previous Jags, after using many different pads over the years, I was most impressed with Raybestos ""RPG" type. (I think that was the designation...I can verify if you want)

Cheers

I agree about the Akebono ceramics. I just switched over to them recently and they are great. No dust at all. I hated all the cleaning with the OEM pads. Towards the end of there life it felt like I was cleaning those 20 spoke rims every other day... But now dust free and stopping strong. Ken over at motorcarsldt has them for reasonable prices.

I use the top of the line carquest ceramic pads, which are made by raybestos. I get them for wholesale pricing which is the primary reason, but even regular price they're still quite cheap, and raybestos is reputable. I get little dust with them and they stop just as well as the OEM semi-metallics while remaining much more quiet
