Not here. I have a set of buckets and measured them before buying because of the stagger that I mentioned before. Go on ebay and find a picture to get an idea of the amount of surgery required.

Come to think of it ... if you need measurements of the real deal ... describe the measurement and I can take it off one of the units here.

If you post the measurements for the existing setup on the X300 then it can be decided whether they are a close enough fit.

I realise that mounting the bucket panels would involve some custom bracketry to make up the distance to the underlying sheetmetal.

I think the critical measurements to avoid surgery on the bucket panels themselves would be center to center of the high/low beams and stagger offset of the front surfaces of the lenses.

Real H4 conversions with glass or metal reflectors would be so much better than the peeling plastic reflectors made by Valeo. Heat and plastic just don't mix too well. Bear in mind though that some people argue that the H7 is a more modern design.

Okay , here we go, I hope you understand this-- across the bracket lateral is 13" and 5.75 down --- between the lights lens is 3.50, between the hood and the inter part of bumper is about 7"" mounting bolts are for the bracket is 8 "-- from the horn to the end of the hood part,13'' I have the x300 lights and brackets out. Thanks , Satterfield

Default Tyre sizes X300 Sport

First serious post....

Just bought a 3.2 Sport XJ X300 and it is fitted with 255/55 16 tyres. I am going to have to replace the rears in the not too distant future and wondered what the "best" sizes are to have?

I ask because a check on some tyre websites quote 245/50 tyres for this car, so am a little confused. If all else fails I will stick with what is on, but if anyone has any tyre experience with this model I would be most interested to hear it.

Thanks in advance.

The later XJ8 from 1997 1998 1999 head lights plus tail lights will fit they have the clearer lenses and look better. Its a common change over here in NewZealand.
