Default Boot/trunk strut replacement

Checked the stickies- no dice. anyone have a link to a how - to relacing the trunk/boot struts on a '96 xj 6? thanks in advance- d

Try "Search" it's in here somewhere....I recall it from several months ago..

The're quite easy and just "pop" off. On the driver's side (left) work a long pry bar between the end on the strut and something to back up the pry bar and give the pry a sharp twist/snap and the strut will pop off. On the right hand side you have to move the electric harnes that's in the way and do the same. The new struts will easily snap into position. Shouldn't take you more than 10-15 minutes tops.
