Brown Wire at Alternator
Having charging issues with my 97XJR. Went to install a new alternator and there is a brown wire with a electrical connector attached to it. It is in the same harness going to the alternator as a black wire that connects to the bottom left post.
Any ideas? Should i ground it in to the main ground on the top left of the alternator.
Kind of stuck here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The diagrams show a brown wire and a black wire coming off the alternator and going to the 'suppression module', which is described as being located 'engine bay, LH front'.
It looks like the brown wire attaches to the same post as the main output wire.
Cheers
