Hello all, new here. Scrolled the forum the past few days but haven’t found the exact info I’m looking for so I figured I’d ask directly. There’s a 95 XJR6 available to me and I’m not sure whether to purchase it or avoid it. I like the looks. It’s a red on white. Original wheels. Minor surf bubbling on one rear wheel arch. All glass is good. No real dents to speak of. Both front turn signal lenses are broken though (rocks?). Nothing too special or modified. It’s 118k miles owner says it was sitting about 2 years. I did test drive it and it drove OK but it definitely needs some love. The throttle stocks closed, abs/ traction control lights on, aftermarket intake tube, vacuum leaks, and it seems to be off alignment. The big attractor is the price. Buy only wants $700 for it. I like the car. I’ve heard they’re fun to drive and nearly bulletproof reliable, not trouble free but reliable. And it’s unique I’ve never seen one around my area before. Ye or neigh? Advise? I’m aware of a few common issues.

 

If you like Jaguars and are willing to put TLC into it then it isn't even a question especially for practically free. If not then tell me where the car is located and I might buy it. Don't expect any 25 year old car to be gas 'n go.

Why is it broken down?? Please tell me! I’ll have another car as well as a spare.

 

Oh I’m fully aware it’ll need some work. Probably gotta change all the fluids, fuel tank, throttle body, get a different intake with the vacuum ports actually on it, sort the abs. I didn’t test the heated seats but the power seats and mirrors worked. It has an aftermarket radio already too so that’s good. Oh and the shifter needs adjustment. Doesn’t recognize park unless I push it FAR forward.
