A/C not blowing cold at low speeds
So, the A/C on my 97 Xj6 does blow cool air, but not at idle or low speeds. The air will only blow cold when I'm on the road traveling at around 30+ mph.
Now, I've been advised that there could be a clog of sorts in an intake? The air does blow cold, so I wouldn't think it to be the coolant. I'd love to know what you guys would think it could be. It was nearly 90F out today and Sunny.

Couple of questions bouncing around my head.
Are the electric fans actually BOTH running on LOW when the A/C is ON. This would explain the colder air when moving, coz you got air flow across the condensor to do what it should, and ZERO at idle if the fans are not BOTH running, due to no air flow. These fans are well documented as failing eventually, and/or the relay pack (inside the LHF wheel well) is playing up, again, well documented.
Is the belt TIGHT, and more importantly, the idler pulley still OK, as it is plastic and only lasts so long. This is NOT high on the brain bounce, just mentioning coz I can.
The charge level of "stuff" may be low, and the higher revs actually pumps a tad more to give that cool feeling. Again, not real high on my list.

First check all your fuses,
left hand heel board behind drivers seat - F11 (20 amp) and F18 (10amp)
right hand heel board behind passenger seat - F11 (20 amp) and F12 (10 amp)
left hand engine bay - F8 (10 amp)
This could be the problem than check vacuume hoses

Hi
It could be moisture in the a/c system or it could be slightly low on gas if it cycles on and off quickly its probably low on gas. See if you can get an a/c man to check the system pressures . Start with that

another thing.......does your system have a sight glass on it....if your seeing bubbles it prob needs topping up. When its ticking over are you sure its engaged ?
Turn the ign on but dont start the car.. switch on a/c and see if you can hear it engage.
