camshaft position sensor
ok, i bought a jag with a blowed head gasket, replaced gasket, put all back together, will not start.
i did have to remove the cam sensor to get the timing chain tensioner back in, but i pulled it straight up and right back down, if it is out of time how do i fix and is there any other reason it might not start?
ran good before change just had water in oil
when i changed gasket i timed everything to top dead center before removal and during replacement.
if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate any help
thanks in advance

RE: camshaft position sensor
you need to put #1 cylinder in TDC compression and remove the CPS... on top of the CPS is a clear window with a little transparent circle in it. rotate bottom drive gear until you see a white dot. line this dot up with the transparent circle in the window and the reinstall your CPS and lock it down with those 2 lined up! simple as that and you will be timed!
