Default CD Changer

My cd changer doesn't work. sometimes it plays only for a few minutes, then sometimes i can't get it to play at all. Is it best to get another changer? If so, where? Or is it better to put an aftermarket cd player in the dash and bypass the changer.

I too have a changer out of my XJ6 just sitting in my closet. Hasn't been used for the past 2 years since I went with a Kenwood headunit. Perfect working condition. I'll let it go cheap if deal with Chavid doesn't go through.

I also have a cd changer out of a 2004 Cadillac Deville if anybody is looking for one

I too have a changer for sale, but I doubt youd be interested as I live in NZ. Are you sure it's the changer, and not your head unit? There is no 'NOT CONT' error on the screen is there?

Yes, it's almost certainly your head unit then. Hopefully it's just the unsoldered SMD, and not something more sinister like my one.
