Default central lock code?

Does the central lock button red led blink codes? The alarm , boot and button hasnt worked for a long time. I jist noticed quickly after starting the car the red led on the button gave some flashes like sort of a code. After this the light just keeps on forever like it always has.

I don't think it's a diagnostic code. I think the different blink patterns indicate security system "status".

Can't remember! The blinky feature went "on the blink" years ago on my car. I totally forgot about it until just now!

Cheers

i read it blinks when you manually disable the intrusion and level sensors by holding the lock button for 3 seconds. altho those senors are not fitted on my jag US version if i hold the lock button for 3 seconds it will blink 2 or 3 times just like it states in the manual and then blink again when i open the door or re push the lock button. i find it interesing that this actually works given that the lock button doesnt do anything for my jag.
