I'll post after I get them and let you know how they do. Hope they do the job, the price is right for sure.

I've been down that road before. My suggestion is to only replace the faulty coil or coils. Keep the rest as spares. I was glad I had a spare one when the new one failed.

Hope your luck with the cheap coils is better than mine. All six of my $58 Beck Arnley coils failed. The ones that failed within 12 months...4 or 5 of them.... were replaced under warrant and all but one of *those* have failed as well.

Cheers

Oh I plan on saving the old ones. I have since picked up some silicone tape/wrap. It handles high voltage and high temp. After wrapping the damaged plug boots in this I am very happy with the old girls performance. I may put the spares in the trunk along with an 8mm wrench for future problems.

Here's a vendor in the 'States.

This is the actual OEM coil without the Lucas label

If you've confirmed that the coils are in good order and it's simply cracked rubber boots, those are available for purchase separately, and are pretty cheap ($10-$15us)

Ok the coils are in and things have really improved. They look exactly like the old except without the labels. Real good ebay store, very quick response and able to contact on phone. Still have an idle fluctuation of about 100 rpm. I have sprayed every possible are that air could leak with ether and nothing. Not sure what causing it but may ignore for awhile.
