I've been running these for almost two years. I figured at this price, I can replace the full set every year if necessary. Haven't had to yet

I have been using the QYL coils now for about 15 months, no problems so far. One of the reviews on Amazon is mine.

I did the same thing you did and bought the 75 dollar set on eBay after I noticed a miss fire on my old ones.....DONT DO IT learn from my mistakes. They worked great for about 3 months, then one by one they started to fail. Eventually I just bought a new set a Beck/Arnley coils and never had a problem since. Its tempting, but just spend the money and be done with it.

They stopped manufacturing them. Maybe they'll do another run eventually, but for now they are sold out. I know this because I reached out to them, asking if they could help me locate some. They did respond. Perhaps you can email them too. The more people that request them, the more likely they might produce them again?

I emailed support@gaatu.com

It took a while to get a response.

Thanks Vee! So meanwhile, what alternatives do you suggest that are out there?

FCPEuro has some “eurospare” labeled coils. At $80/ea, they’re gonna cost more than the QYLs, which were $80 for all six.

FCPEuro claims a lifetime warranty on these things, which is why I would buy them from there.

Would like to hear from others on what they think.

Thanks Vee! I am a regular customer of SNG Barratt, but I'm skeptical about the aftermarket ones they sell. Can you (or others seeing this thread) prove this skepticism, or against it?

There’s no way to tell what aftermarket brand SNG is using. You might be able to ask them, but I doubt it would be of any consequence.

Unless they tell you it’s from Diamond (in Japan) or QYL, I don’t think it would be worth the $35/coil. They might tell you they sell hundreds without issue, but I’m sure results may vary. I’d spend up and get the ones I can get replaced for free.

Now I’ve never made a warranty claim with FCPEuro either….

That is my opinion.

Diamond have stopped manufacturing the 'Made in Japan' coils unfortunately so we are not able to supply those anymore.
Our aftermarket ones are the best we have found and we will replace any failures one time within a 12month period.

Can you share any insight on why you think they might be better than any of the other aftermarket coils available? Is there any kind of testing, or any build qualities these coils have that sets them apart from the rest?

Thanks
