Default Crank damper (Harmonic Balancer)

Anybody know how to replace this?
Harmonic balancer Crankshaft Damper/Pulley on 96 XJS X300 NA 4.0

You need to undo the crank bolt which is done up tight, very tight! When i did it, i put a breaker bar onto the bolt, leant it against the chassis (somewhere where it wont damage anything) then gave the ignition key a quick flick.
Once off, you may need a puller to get the old pulley off.

One thing to note, it needs to be done back up really tight. You dont want it falling off at any speed!

Did U need to replace anything like seal/o-ring? and whats the two bolt holes on either side of the big nut for? I guess I'm wondering how U got it off without the "Special Tool J08-4356" the tech manual says U need. Nice tip propping the bar and turning ignition...Thanks PS Did you have any oil leaking up front there when U replaced the Pulley? (See attachment)
