Just completed an in depth tune up, transmission servicing for shifter cables, sensors and realignment, complete brakes and brake lines overhaul and intake manifold replacement which was cracked when I bought the car last month. However, the car wont start. It'll crank but wont start. My mechanic has spent the last week chasing this issue.
ECM failure is rare, though not unheard of. More common causes of cranks/no-start include failure of the crankshaft position sensor or its wiring, or failure of the fuel pump, fuel pump relay or associated wiring.
Rarely it's the inertia switch, but once in awhile it is.

it was specifically water damage. I'll be sure to keep those interested in the loop!

yep. After a full tune up, headgasket repair, intake manifold gasket repair, dry and wet pressure testing, turned out the issue was a water damaged ECU. Chump that up along with a complete braking system overhaul, transmission and shifter servicing and realignment and paint... I spent 3800$ on a 600$ car lol but at least shes bullet proof and looks good doing it.
