CTS coolant temperature sensor, abord it or not ?
The car is a 1995 XJ sport 3.2 manual gear box. Good for me.
I have an issue with engine shaking left-right at idle (cold or hot, like sucking false air) and stall (misfire/power loose/etc. or whatever) at ~2000rpm at 4th speed and ~60Km/h or 2000rpm at 5th speed and ~80Km/h.
Started from the very first cheaper issues, spark plugs, coils and stopped there, with the brand new coils I got the Tokyo by night/Christmas tree effect and went back to the old coils, problem disappeared.....
Thanks the Forum for this. !!!
The shaking/stalling still existing..
I took no further actions at all, just some days ago, when the engine was HOT, unplugged the CTS.
The problem(s) disappeared !!!
Cold/hot idle, stalling disappeared, response to throttle, magic.
Bought a new CTS for the local market, an Italian stuff, plugged it on, problem came back in much smaller size, ordered a CTS from England. During expecting the English CTS, I've unplugged the CTS in total, drive and enjoy the car as never did.
It's almost summer time, temperatures around 20C , forgot to mention.
Please for some feed back on this issue.
Unplugged CTS=no resistance, ECU knows that engine is HOT, allows less injector's duration, correct ?
This (stall/misfire) is something I "run" after it since I bought he car, am I on a wrong way, running the car with an unplugged CTS?
