Remove the two 10mm nuts holding the window regulator on

I had removed this bolt to get mine apart ( i forgot to roll the window down before removal)

When re installing i could not get it to connect back in there? im completely stumped on wtf i even removed it from

I will post this because it is what i did and i had success ( so far)

Remove this bolt at your own risk


2nd pic is where the square peace sits that the bolt was clamping down

Now the trick is to wiggle the window regulator so that the slides that go into the window track come out.

Time to remove the left side window guide ( bottom bolt only)
this will give room to remove the micro switch

its a t 30

Time to remove the
Micro switch and all the connections


Start with this connection. it just clips on and off. Pull towards yourself and it will come off.

Tips
A) use both hands and do not use a tool you will break or bend it
B) Get ready to cut your forearms have first aid near you

Now remove the one behind the connection you just disconnected

This one you grab on the black plastic part and PULL DOWN
they will come apart. do not use any tools just use your hands

Remove the Micro Switch Power connection

remove the three T 30 screws holding the micro switch in

Remove the Micro switch
PLACE SOMETHING IN DOOR TO KEEP FROM SHUTTING
IT WILL NOT OPEN EASY IF IT SHUTS

compare your old micro switch to the replacement

Install is Reverse

Tips For Install
A) If the Replacement micro switch is in the closed position the door will not shut
To fix this simply install everything! From outside the car hold the door handle open and shut the car while holding the handle up! it will force the micro switch to unlock and let your car door shut

B) Triple check every wire is connected and not int the path of the window regulator

C) Make sure everything works perfect before calling it quits!

An old post but just to say thank you for posting. Tim his helped me get the lock mechanism out without breaking anything. Also just for anyone else - I managed to get it out without removing the window regulator. It’s a squeeze but possible.

I expected to have to take apart the entire door, but I found my cable break right next to the door handle.
I was able to hack the cable together to the L handle-end with a cable splicing sleeve and crimping tool.
Works for now... curious to see how long it lasts but it only took 1 screw to access (and removing handle wood trim).

well, ended up replacing the cable with a new one (other end snapped). this was helpful for connecting it without removing the lock/latch
