Deriving more pleasure from driving the XJ6 than my other car.
My other car is a 2004 Mercedes S430 I bought from my father. Always garaged and super clean.
I bought it because I thought my XJ6 was a goner with a bad timing chain and the leaks.
But my '95 Jag XJ6 only cost $360 to fix the steering hoses and adjust the cam chain and I've been driving it again.
I've owned the Jag since 1996 and have kept it in tip top shape both mechanically and cosmetically.
Had the front end rebuilt and new shocks all around 3 years ago. Paint all good. Found a great replacement drivers seat with good leather.
Every time I drive the car now it puts a smile on my face and just feels like a road car.
The Mercedes is very nice too but doesn't give me the same feeling.
Thinking about selling the Mercedes now that I have the Jag running great again.
