For those considering a rack and pinion, I initially gave this company a very high rating. They shipped quickly, and their customer service was excellent at the time. However, eight months later, the seal around the spline failed. While such issues can occur, I contacted them for a warranty replacement, and the process initially seemed smooth. They assured me that they had replacements in stock, would test one, and ship it out within a few days.

On November 7th, I received an email indicating that a shipping label had been created. As of today, November 16th, there has been no further progress. I’ve called them at least 10 times and messaged repeatedly, only to get the same vague responses, such as “it’s in the mail.” Yesterday, I was told it would ship out, but the status remains unchanged.

If you’re considering buying from this company, I would advise caution. My initial positive experience has been overshadowed by the frustration and lack of follow-through during the warranty process. Unless you’re prepared to deal with similar issues, I recommend looking elsewhere.

 

Dang, I hope mine lasts longer than that. I put one in from them this summer.

 

I picked one up from Rock Auto. We will see how it works out.
