Diagnose air bag/clear codes?

Diagnose air bag/clear codes?
My inependent is telling me that his IDS does not support x300 airbag. According to him only genrad/pdu supports it. Couple of questions:
1. If I replace the faulty part , will the light go away, or will the codes need to be cleared?
2. What other tools support x300 airbag system?

Yes he's right, IDS does not support the Air Bag system on 95 X300 (nor 96/97 to my knowledge).
The warning light is reset on every ignition cycle so if the fault is fixed the light will not re-appear.
