Hello, basically, when I unlock the doors to my car, the driver door unlocks but won't open from the inside. I have to get the window down and open it from the outside. When I pull the hatch I just hear a clicking sound.

Any ideas?

I imagine the locking/ unlocking is operating ok, but the cable from the lock/handle to the inside door handle is disconnected/ broken. You will have to remove the door card to investigate further. Plenty of posts in the archives on this.

 

"Door card" is a funny title for that part of these cars. My MGB and TR7? Sure, door cards. But, my x300... there's more engineering in just the door panels than the entirety of other two cars combined. If you've ever taken one completely apart, you'd understand why.

I second that my doors have been apart quite a bit in the last 2 years first with new speakers then paintless dent from a landcruiser at Bunnings and again with a new speaker just one this time
one thing if you are fussy get the clips and pieces that go in the door to hold the clips otherwise like mine did the skins will be swinging free in the wind (LOL)
