Default Door lock or security fault...Help please.

New to me 1996 x300. When shift into D or into P, all the doors lock and unlock properly, If I press the central lock button they lock and unlock.

When I use my key to lock or unlock the doors the security system arms and doors lock properly. except the gas cap lock.

The drivers door pip, doesn't lock and unlock all doors like the passenger front does. It kind of bounces up and down without snapping into lock or unlock.
The drivers inside door latch also doesnt unlock all doors like i think it is supposed to. passenger side does.

When i press lock on the fob, the doors lock and unlock 3 times, and i get a fault beep from security. The gas cap locks and unlocks only the first time.

I tried a new gas cap motor, same result and a new door latch/lock actuator again same result. The fault seems to be with the drivers door. Have read numerous posts and one had the same lock/unlock 3 times requiring a change of the latch/lock actuator. Also took apart the actuator and cleaned and lubed it as suggested.

My replacement parts were picked from a junkyard. They could have the same defect i suppose, not sure how common this issue is?

Am I missing something? any tips? first jag so don't really know what I'm doing. Have been fiddling with this door for days, at the end of my rope. I assume my next step is to buy a used latch on ebay, part is probably picked from a junkyard.

It just seems unlikely to me that both actuators could be faulty?

Here is a real Turkey of a answer

See page 27 left heelboard relay area and 149

Swap the puddle lamp relay with the fuel filler cap relay even thou it waddles

The relay may be intermittent throwing off troubleshooting logic and the SLCU may need a hard reset up against the side of the head to get it back to normal

No , just a swap

The battery cable hard reset may be for setting the SLCU to zero state as ut may have lost it's way , beyond a just positive cable removal

The relays have different bases...the puddle lamp is larger blue square and the fuel flap is black with a violet stripe and smaller.

Look to see one with the same part number and not related to the security locking system and the right heelboard referenced on page 27 lower pic
