Default e24 BMW guy thinking of going British..

I am a Newbie to UK Auto's, but have always admired them. I am looking at this one... any advice or warnings? Are these good cars? I know Jag has built some bad ones, but i also know the've made some good ones too..

Dude, V12 with just over 100k for around 6k US dollars? I'd call it a bargain to be honest! In UK older models (late 80's) can fetch 6k GBP easily. And yes, it was one of the really good ones! So don't think too long on that one!

That looks like a beauty. Presumably (hopefully?) the mechanicals are as nice as the cosmetics.

You'll never find more car for less money. This was Jaguar's flagship car at the time.

In one of the sticky threads at the top of this section there's a buyers guide that might be helpful.

Cheers

Looks very nice and fairly priced for the 12 cylinder. Here are 2 clean 6 cylinders in our local area for comparison that are both priced higher (although lower miles).
I've had my 96 VDP for a year now and enjoy it more everyday. I actually look forward to going to work in the morning just for the drive.

Former E34 and E32 (twice) owner here. I would say the mentioned V12 is a step up from your E24, depending on the state of your current car, but so are the fuel costs

The XJR6 drive is a bit harsh compared to the E32 (7 series), but when going for the V12, you should have no such problem.

If you are ready to buy a new car, make sure you read the error checklists here on forum and then go take the V12 for a spin. I think you will like it.
