Default Is a few inches enough!

Hi Guys

Right then I still need help with my aerial. New mast and cable have arrived and I've installed them, but the aerial will only go up and down a few inches.

Any ideas?

Looking forward to your help.

Spencer

I'm thinking it may not be properly installed. I had issues with installing a new antenna. I had to take the motor off/out of the car, and manually install the new antenna.

So I've taken the aerial out of the car and striped it down all the way, cleaned the cogs and everything. I didn't put the cogs back in but powered it back up again including the aerial connection. When I turn the radio on and off the motor spins for probably a second and then stops. Surely the motor should continue to spin until the cogs feel resistance, or at a push the time it takes for the aerial to retract - I'm guessing 5-10 seconds depending on how fast you would like the aerial to retract. Any thoughts? S
