Flickering interior lights?
On my 1996 XJ6 VDP, my interior lights flicker when my drivers side door is open, all the other doors, it stays solid. but when the drivers door is open, the lights flicker like crazy (looks like a strobe light!) and you can hear clicking under the rear drivers side seat- where the fuse box is located. Any ideas????
Thanks!

RE: Flickering interior lights?
Hi JagSnawb, I see your post is some years old but my '95 Doublesix is doing the exact same thing as yours. I have to assume you got yours fixed by now and would really appreciate knowing what the problem was.
Was it a bad ground connection like GordoCatCar said?
Thanks, Scott

It is the door latch switch that fails and if it is the driver's door it will also make the tilt/reach steering column 'go crazy' if the 'auto' feature is enabled. The column motors will 'judder' because the door switch signals the module that the door is opening and closing rapidly.
