Hi JagSnawb, I see your post is some years old but my '95 Doublesix is doing the exact same thing as yours. I have to assume you got yours fixed by now and would really appreciate knowing what the problem was.

Was it a bad ground connection like GordoCatCar said?

It is the door latch switch that fails and if it is the driver's door it will also make the tilt/reach steering column 'go crazy' if the 'auto' feature is enabled. The column motors will 'judder' because the door switch signals the module that the door is opening and closing rapidly.

Pulled the switch today and cleaned it out with circuit/contact cleaner and compressed air. Problem solved. Thanks very much.

sounds like a bad door latch micro switch ,it comes with a new latch
