Hello everyone! I need your collective advise.
Couple of years ago my rear part of Jag was cut-off ond replaced on a good one from Japan car. Everything is well, bodyshop done great job, but i've noticed that noise from the back of the car became louder, like different stoen etc. bumping in wheelarch.
Shurely I didn't ment to care of it New paint and no rust at my 26 yeard old buddy.. What als do I need?
Nowdays I've download large service manual and foun bodywork section. It's told to do a foam injection after bodyworks! I think nobody injected it in, so the question is - shoul I do it by myself? What kind of foam should I use?
What about rust... Foam seems much hygroscopic to me and if a little bit of water will get there - i'll get a permanent water spot in hidden body cavity.
On the pic - foaming injection instruction.
I wouldn't know what foam to use, but this is not unheard of. I've seen it in a new Dodge Durango in the rocker panels. I was watching a youtuber named Junkyard Dave redoing bodywork on his, and he was complaining about easy it was to light on fire while welding.
Foam was used in the xj40 front subframe to add stiffness. There are two main types of foam, open cell, which I, believe is hygroscopic, and closed cell, which is not. I would suggest using the latter option (closed cell) but seeking advice from the supplier.
