Default fog and side marker lights out

I can't figure out my right side fog and marker lights have stopped working I have checked all the fuses several times and all is good. Have looked all around but can't find anything. I figure that it might be a bad relay. I tried finding the location of that relay but I have not found anything. Where can I find the relay and what else should I look at. Hope someone can give me idea what to do.

Are you sure you are getting power to the sockets or not? Unlikely, but possible that both bulbs are loose or out. I actually had two of mine out, and sharp tap with my finger had them come back on!

Yes, the first thing was to change the bulbs, the next thing I did was to check the plug for power and there was none. I bought a bulb for that foglight and it was no good and shorted our again the ground. All the fuses are good so it's some ting in between. So I would like to find out where the relay for the fog lights is at and see if it fried it.

Okay, no answer is better than a wrong answer when it comes to wiring on a jag. I'll check the ground wires tomorrow and if that don't work, I'll take it to Audio Sound in Fresno, Ca. They are really good with electrical. But I don't like to spend the money, but they are cheaper than other places

Tom,

From what you describe, it sure sounds like a ground fault. I am sure both fogs are on one circuit and both markers on another with separate fuses and relays, but I wouldn't be surprised if the lights on each side are connected to a common grounding wire.

Have you tried grounding one of your inoperative lights directly? I have a few wires with alligator clips at both ends which work great for this. They enabled me to identify an identical fault with my wiper unit.

Good luck!

I fixed it. Somebody had spliced the hot wire to the fog light and it pulled it apart. I put on a solder less connector on it and all is good now. Somebody must have needed a hot lead for something. And the side marker wasn't so easy. I finally gave up tracking the wires so I just spliced into the daylight bulb and cut the hot wire that was leading to the side rker.
All is working, I'm happy now
